Hi André,

Double checked the dimensions. Parts look a little different than what you
described. I wonder if there's been some iteration between when our models
were built. This one was installed new in Sep/Oct 2024. Sounds convenient,
though I'm not sure how compatible it is for the brand new systems.

The inner ring you mentioned looks easily removable but that wouldn't give
enough clearance to pull the bst. The surrounding aluminum plate would need
to come out as well. On close inspection that could turn out somewhat tricky
though seems feasible. However, the bst has 3 protrusions (2x gas 1x electric)
that give me pause. I can't readily tell whether there's a rotational angle
where they wouldn't catch on the remaining sample changer bits. Next time
I have to pull the bst I'll try your method. Definitely preferable to taking
down the whole sample changer if it works out.

Hi Luke and Kenneth,

In my setup (which looks exactly like Lukes) you can just simply take off the
inner aluminium ring and thus get access to the three screws holding the bst.
That way you do not need to touch the sample case when removing the bst.
Just don't forget to put the ring back on (which ist what I did ;) ).
I did it together witha Bruker engineer here, so I am pretty sure it is safe :)
