mkisofs problem with VNMR

Dear AMMRL group,

I have run across something odd -- CDROM's burned with

mkhybrid -d -D -l -N -L -R -V $1 -exclude-list ./skip.file -o $DIR1/$2.iso .

mkhybrid is version 1.12b5.4

(run from a script passing volume name, etc. and checking size, creating the
skip.file etc)

works fine if the fids are in a top level directory, but if working dir
contains subdirs, which contain
the FID directories, VNMR wont read them and the working dir becomes / .

to describe more fully if you're still with me ---
tried both VNMRJ1.1C -- running vnmr (solaris 9 on a workstation)
and vnmr6.1C under solaris 2.6 on the spectrometer's host computer
  or under IRIX workstation

without effect. The CDROM can be accessed OK via ls or filemanager on any
of these systems -- or PC

Usually, I put a single users FIDs on a CD but this time I tried to put 5
subdir under the lab's directory
onto the CD -- to no avail.

If anyone can see where I have gone wrong please let me know. Hopefully I
have given sufficient detail.

Carl
