What You’ll Do

  * Support the local NMR expertise by assisting with daily operations, providing
thoughtful troubleshooting, and offering technical guidance to the team.
  * Perform routine and semi‑routine NMR analyses with precision, ensuring
quality through meticulous calibration, data review, and dedicated quality checks.
  * Lead and support the development of NMR methods, fostering a collaborative
approach to adjustments and optimization initiatives.
  * Contribute to the team’s success by conducting additional analyses using
TGA, DSC, FTIR, Raman, combustion elemental analysis, and porosity methods.
  * Carefully handle and prepare samples in alignment with validated procedures and
  essential safety requirements.
  * Apply established analytical methods and contribute to collective growth through
incremental improvements under the mentorship of senior colleagues.
  * Maintain clear and helpful documentation, ensuring that all methods and equipment
records are kept up to date for the benefit of the department.
  * Participate in the shared responsibility of routine calibration, first-level
troubleshooting, and the conscientious maintenance of laboratory instrumentation.
  * Communicate openly regarding testing progress and build strong partnerships
with internal colleagues to meet analytical needs harmoniously.

What you’ll bring

  * Master’s degree in Analytical Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry,
Materials Science, Physics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
  * At least 3 years of hands-on analytical laboratory experience, with strong
proficiency in operating NMR spectrometers (solution 1D/2D); experience with
  solid-state NMR is an asset
  * Experience with a variety of analytical techniques, including FTIR, TGA, DSC,
  and chromatography (GC, LC, GPC)
  * Strong skills in precise sample preparation, instrument calibration and maintenance,
and maintaining data integrity and compliance; familiarity with laboratory data
  management systems is a plus.
  * Solid foundation in analytical chemistry principles and laboratory safety, with
consistent adherence to SOPs and best practices
  * Ability to design experiments, support method validation, analyze data and trends,
  and communicate technical findings clearly
  * Collaborative mindset with effective communication skills in English, combined with
a structured, curious, and methodical approach to problem-solving
