Hello everyone,
I have another question about helium recovery systems. Given the current situation,
I would like to install more sensors in my recovery system to better monitor helium
losses. I know many of you use rotameters to measure the helium flow of individual
spectrometers. I would like to do this electronically to better calculate average
values and have everything displayed at a glance on my dashboard.
I've already tried measuring the flow rate with a small gas meter (Honeywell BK-G1.6)
with an electronic counter (Encoder AE5), which worked to some extent. However, I
measured that the readings were lower than the actual flow rate (the flow rates of
the spectrometers were just below the meter's specifications). Does anyone have
experience with other inexpensive electronic sensors that measure flow rates in
the range of <200 l/min? My internet (&AI) searches turned up results such as the
SMC PFMV505-1 and the Honeywell AWM3300.
