Hello Everyone,

For those who remember me 'm still around, alive and kicking with our new
JEOL ECZL S-400 system, which continues to provide outstanding data for us
with the Royal HFX probe.  In case anyone doubts that a 2-Channel
system like this can to high-quality triple-resonance H/F/X experiments,
I can attest that we have yet to see any compromises in performance.

If anyone is curious about the mystery Box in Sarah's lab, back around 2009
I was replacing my Varian VXRs 300 system at CU-Boulder with a AV-III Nano
bay with Ultrashield magnet.  Dave Scott at Iowa State was interested
in many of the boards and parts because he was still supporting that generation
of Varians, including the HAL interface to the Sun SPARCstation. = He
and his spouse were traveling to Boulder on a vacation trip, so I boxed up
as much as I could and handed them off in person after a wonderful lunch
together.

If anyone still has a VXRs spectrometer working, maybe Sara can send you the
mystery box.   ;o).

I initially responded directly to Sarah, as has been the AMMRL protocol, but
then decided to post to the group in case anyone was curious why a box with
my name on it ended up in Ames.

Best wishes to all,

-Rich S.
