Dear AMMRL,
We are considering a console swap between magnets and wanted input as to what
we might be overlooking. The systems utilize 2 identical Oxford AS-600s which
have the same shim stacks and upper bore. One system is a 4 channel Bruker Neo
that drives a DCH C/H-D CryoProbe with a SampleCase robot. The other system is
a 2 channel Bruker Avance III that drives a TCI H-C/N-D CryoProbe and a SampleJet
robot. We want to take each console with its HPPR and swap them so that we can
better utilize the probes.
Will it be possible to do this? What are the differences both hardware and
software wise concerning the change in robots? Is there anything the difference
in architecture between AV-III and Neo will affect? Both systems have the older
version CryoPlatform (Z106902 ECL 06 manufactured 2015/2016). There are likely
many other points we’re missing which is why I thought it best to ask
advice and be sure we really want to attempt this on our own.
Thanks,
John
