NMR SPECTROSCOPY OF PROTEINS
POSTDOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP POSITION
University of Houston
Biology and Biochemistry
A Post-doctoral research position is available in protein NMR spectroscopy. The project is funded by NIH and Welch Foundation, and focuses on activation cell adhesion molecules, cellular signaling and methods development.
A variety of spectroscopic techniques will be used for these studies including NMR spectroscopy, isothermal titration calorimetry, circular dichroism and BIACORE. The University of Houston possesses outstanding NMR facilities with an 800 and 600 MHz Advance Bruker spectrometers available on campus, and access to the Gulf Coast Consortium NMR instrumentation. Excellent protein purification and characterization facilities are available within the laboratory. The successful candidate should have a PhD in protein NMR spectroscopy or equivalent experience.
