Dear Brave and Intrepid Users of TopSpin 5.0.0,
A service pack has been released that addresses a significant processing bug
affecting 2D homonuclear experiments — COSYs are confirmed, and other
homonuclear 2D experiments are likely affected as well.
The underlying raw data is fine, so if you've been processing offline in MNova
or other software you may never have noticed. However, if you process in TopSpin
5.0.0 and then export to MNova, you'll find the F1 axis is corrupted in both —
and unfortunately it cannot be corrected after the fact. Reprocessing from the
raw data after applying the patch is the fix.
Bruker hasn't publicized this one widely, so I wanted to make sure it was on your
radar. If you've run 2D homonuclear experiments under 5.0.0, it's worth grabbing
the patch and reprocessing.
