Hi Michael,

All running in services:
Bruker Dhcp Server
Bruker FLEXlm License Server
Buker Tftp Server

I don't see anything called bfs. I do see something called "bootparam" that
says Bruker CCU boot parameter server

I took a video ( https://photos.app.goo.gl/9DUYFomh6vyHZmEx7 ) of me pressing
the reboot button on the CCU. It seems to be flashing less than normal, like
usually there is a series of quick flashes https://photos.app.goo.gl/9DUYFomh6vyHZmEx7

One thing I did NOT do during installation was to stop the CCU as some
installation guides have you do. The one I was following did not tell me to do
that until much later in the manual at which point the installation was already
complete. I did NOT install MICS because this is an older magnet, I don't know
if that matters. I assume MICS just talks to BSMS but what do I know!

My colleague sent me a snippet of a troubleshooting guide about restarting
the CCU copied below:

"While cf is checking the spectrometer hardware (after entering the 1H frequency)
the following error message appears:
------------------ < iiconf > ------------------
connection to <Instrument Name> (aqport0) failed
(‘startd‘ demon active on CCU ?)
This error message may be caused by several reasons:
• There is no startd demon running on the CCU. To check this use telnet to login
onto spect (e.g. telnet spect as user root in a unix shell) and execute the following command:
ps -ef | grep startd | grep -v grep
If the last commands does not list any running startd it can be started manually
with:
/etc/startd
or by rebooting the CCU with
/etc/init 6
• The operating system on the host does not know the name of the spectrometer.
This happens if <Instrument Name> is a newly chosen name which has never
been used before.
To solve this problem the superuser must add the new name to the hosts file
(Unix: /etc/hosts, Windows-NT: C:\Winnt\System32\drivers\etc\hosts) directly
behind the name spect, e.g. for the name drx300:
149.236.99.99 spect drx300"

*I checked the hosts file and there are two entries*
*149.236.99.1 ASP_ST2*
*149.236.99.99 spect*

*I CANNOT ping the .99 but I can ping 149.236.99.1 and .89*
