Post-Doctoral Position Available
A post-doctoral position is available immediately to study myocardial
metabolism and ion transport in isolated heart models of ischemic and
hibernating myocardium. This position is ideal for someone with an NMR
background interested in developing skills in in-vivo models. Experiments
primarily utilize 31P and 23Na NMR, although 13C experiments are also
possible. Complementing these NMR studies are biochemical studies of PKC
translocation, measurement of the cellular redox state, and calcium
transport and fluorescent studies.
