Thanks to all who responded. It turns out there was a good reason I was
feeling ripped off. The price quote I got was for a rack cooling unit, not
a simple fan, so the mark up was actually less than the standard 100 - 200
per cent much less than an order of magnitude. My apologies to Oxford.
In any event I found the fan manufacturer via a web search and got the
specs. They of course don't make that fan any more - only its military
version (again, big bucks). As some of you suggested, I was able to
substitute a fan with similar flow rating (117 CFM). The fans we keep in
stock for our GE cabinets (105 CFM) fit the bill and they list for $21.25
in Newark.
