I have been asked to post the following announcement to the AMMRL list:
St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis Tennessee has an open
position in the Dept. of Structural Biology for an Associate Investigator
to provide technical support for the operation of one, and in the future,
two 600 MHz Varian Spectrometers, workstations and peripherals.
spectrometer hardware and software, cryogenic maintenance, measurement of
routine samples, assisting and training users, hardware and software
maintenance of workstations and peripherals, and maintenance of instrument
supplies. Practical experience is required in the operation, performance
testing and repair of NMR spectrometers, interfacing of computer data
acquisition systems, UNIX, basic C programming, and digital and analog
(including rf) circuits. Preference will be given to individuals with
experience in the implementation and optimization of modern
multidimensional, multichannel biological experiments.

The position closely interacts with a similar position in the area of
X-ray crystallography, and the two managers will coordinate computer
networks and data storage within the Department. The median salary for
this position at St. Jude is ~$43,000 and the actual salary will depend on
experience and qualifications. This position is available immediately.

Inquiries should be directed to:
