- Samples can stay in the tube for storage while the plugs are used in
other tubes.
- Less expensive than the glass alternative in most every case.
- Easier removal of air bubbles, especially plugs when using plugs with
vent grooves.
- Doty is developing a sealing collar that will be available shortly that
permits samples to be sealed in NMR tubes for extended periods of time
without solvent loss. The collar holds the positioning rod and upper plug
in place and seals to the tube.
Doty Susceptibility Plugs are included in Wilmad's 1997 Catalog, which is
being distributed now. You'll also find them in the next week under
WHAT'S NEW on Wilmad's Home Page (www.wilmad.com). The sealing collar
does not appear in the new catalog (it's newer even than the catalog),
but will be introduced on our home page when it is available. Check in
the WHAT'S NEW section over the next month about sealing collars.
By the way, if you didn't return Wilmad's postcard mailer in the last
month, you may want to e-mail Wilmad at mkt@wilmad.com, call us, or FAX
us your catalog request. Use the appropriate FAX and phone numbers below.
