Dear AMMRLers,
we are expecting installation of a solid state instrument here at Tech in the
very near future. The room which is to hold the instrument does not have
any connection to pressurized air or nitrogen.
We will probably be able to get hold of an oil-free compressor, but we still
need an air-dryer and filter for the MAS system. According to Bruker, at our
elevation of 4600 ft we need a dryer with a dew point of -100 F. Moreover,
Bruker recommends a 1 um filter for MAS.
Bruker was so kind to give me an estimate as well as provide me with their
supplier. I was eventually transferred to a company called Johnston which
is
located here in New Mexico. Before making a decision, I would like to get
a few more quotes.

Can anybody recommend suppliers of air dryers and filters, preferentially
reliable systems at reasonable prices (!!). If there is interest, I'd be
happy to post a summary.

Thanks for your help,
Tanja
