HAAKE bath

We have a HAAKE FQ4 Cryostat unit on our AMX500 system to pre-cool
the air flow going into the probehead. This seems to be a standard setup on
many Bruker NMR spectrometers.
After five years of perfect running, we were experiencing some problems.
The unit did not cool down any further than -8 C. Several attempts to fix it
locally with a very reliable laboratory equipment company , specializing in
refrigeration units, did not solve the problem.
The main problem everybody runs into- first we and now also the company -
is a lack of tech. support by HAAKE. We were first dealing with HAAKE
USA and then had to switched to HAAKE Germany. We sent them several
data Faxes and so on, but they were of no help in trouble shooting.

We might need to send the unit to one of HAAKE's service station, which
we avoided in the first place due to long down times and shipping problems.

The big question is now, whether anybody has any experience in dealing
with this company either in Germany or the US. We are very frustrated
about HAAKE's tech. support and uncertain, whether they would fix our
unit for a reasonable price in a reasonable time.

Would anybody have any suggestions about alternative units?
