Undergrad experiments

AMMRLers,

No, no, no. Not experiments ON undergrads, experiments to be performed
BY undergraduates.

It's ILI time again. With the deadline fast approaching it's time to
really start thinking about what we want to ask for. The last several
years, UNM has asked for funds for an NMR. (But we are always turned
down. (Well, someone has to be in the 50% that's not funded.)) We have
been given permission by the university to try again. (They must figure
we are a safe bet.) Last year, several reviewers disliked that we
asked to buy a 200 MHz H-1/C-13 NMR, but listed only proton experiments.

So, anyone have a favorite non-proton NMR experiment they would like to
share? My co-PI, who reads J Chem. Ed. faithfully, has no ideas.
(Neither do I, or I wouldn't be asking.)

Thanks,

Karen Ann
