Tables vs. Legs

I have been using a table under a 600 MHz magnet for a long time and have a
convenient way of changing probes and tuning probes without discomfort and
without toching or leaning on the table.

I use one of these roll-around step stools about 12 inches high and about
16 inches in diameter at the base. I place it next to the table and sit on it.
This puts me at just above eye level with the base of the magnet and lets me
adjust or replace the probe without bending over. The probe is within easy
reach.

The stool is made of plastic and I have removed the wheels for a more
trustworthy base when I lean. I am sure they are available for an inexpensive
price in any office supply catalog.
