A number of weeks ago I possed some questions regarding nmr usage. I would
like to thank everone that responded. Based on the results of that survey it
has become obvious that the way to increase usage and stop the complaints is
to penalize people who sign up for the instrument but never use it. This
wastes valuable instrument time and gives the impression that the instrument
is always busy.
At the present time we use the hard copy method of sign up (a physical sign
up sheet). We would like to convert to a software based method so that we can
keep better track of the sign up and compare it to actual usage. This
software would have to have the necessary password locks to prevent people
from indiscriminately changing sign up times. I would appreciate any
suggestions as to what software to get.
