NT Interface boxes

The NT interface boxes were a flexible means of providing some necessary
functions:
1) Lock preamp and lock bandpass filters.
2) Transmitter filters to keep the observe xmitter from interferring with
lock.
3) Prefilter for X nuclei to keep 1H decoupling from overloading the preamp.
4) Prefilter to couple 1H homo-nuclear decoupling.
5) A transmitter coupler to put the observe xmitter on the observe line.
6) An observe preamp.

You can build youself separate boxes for these operations and plug the cables
which now go to the interface boxes to your new boxes. Parts cost would come
close to the $2-3K you suggested you have to spend. You then need to cover
the design, construction and test time (labor) from some other fund of money.
Real cost of the labor will exceed the parts cost. With these cost problems
relative to your available money you will probably have to do this design and
construction internally as it is unlikely that any commerical vendor would
find sufficent margin to take on a quanity one replacement. If you could find
some other people who also want an identical interface you might get someone
interested. You might try talking to Craig Bradley ( (317) 783-4126 ).
