Season's Greetings !
My thanks to everyone for all the stimulating conversations. I've
learned a lot and everyone here has benefitted from the discussions that
have been stimulated.
I'm seeking advice on prolonging the usefull life of ball tip pens
in our HP7550A plotter, which is being run by a Bruker AM. The plotter
is a workhorse, producing thousands of high quality plots each year.
In a new or reconditioned plotter a pen lasts for days, but, as the
plotter ages, each pen lasts for a shorter time, eventually, only for
a few plots.
Other than keeping the carousel clean, nothing that I've tried
helps. The Bruker DISNMR program preempts any attempt to control pen
speed or force.
If anyone has any suggestions, they are welcome.

Thanks !
Mike McGregor
