Hi all. I remember people asking some of these questions before,
but need a current cross section of opinion. I will make the
results available to all. We're investigating acquisition of a new
800 MHz instrument for protein work, and need some info. Can any of
you with relevant experience please tell us:

For a 750MHz or higher system
1) Are there any instrument options that you do not have and
wish you had?
2) Are there any instrument options that you have and feel
like you don't need?
3) Is there any reason (outside of cost) that one would not
get a sheilded magnet?
4) How reliable is your system?
5) Do you have a maintenance contract?
6) How much labor is required to keep the system running well
as compared to a 500 or 600?
7) How much are cryogens?
8) How old is your system?
9) Who manufactured your system?
10 Knowing what you know now, would you buy from the same vendor?

Thanks in advance,
Bill Kearney
