Chuck,

When you are pricing batteries you may want to try the following:

get a quote for the type and number of batteries that you need; also get a quote
for the same battery at "the next price break".

If you do that you may find that the price does strange things if you purchase
more than you need. For example, I needed 20 batteries for one of my UPS's not
long ago. I got a fax quote for 20 batteries and at the next price break. It
turned out that I could purchase 25 batteries for LESS than the 20 batteries that
I actually needed. What did I do with the other batteries? They make a splended
ripple-free power supply when trouble shooting PC boards.
