POSITION OPEN: INSTRUMENTATION SPECIALIST

The Chemistry Department at Tulane University has a position opening for an
Instrumentation Specialist. The Specialist will assist in overseeing the
daily operation of GE Omega 400 MHz, Bruker DSX 300MHz (solids), and
Bruker AC-200 NMR spectrometers. These include : routine maintenance and
spectrometer performance tests, training new users, spectrometer
troubleshooting, and assisting users setting up special experiments. In
addition, the specialist will have responsibility for the upkeep and
training on two benchtop GC- Mass Spectrometers. Ideal candidates will have
at least BS degree in Chemistry or EE, with at least three years NMR
experience, and experience in troubleshooting spectrometers (both in RF and
digital).
