Hi Piotr,
The way you did it is “kosher” if there isn’t a Bruker-provided parameter
set for the nucleus you’re trying to observe. If you don’t need 1H decoupling,
you can start with C13CPD and change the pulse program from zgpg30 to zg, which
eliminates the proton channel and the need to set the decoupler power to zero.
Setting up 11B is even easier because TopSpin comes with a parameter set called
B11ZG, which is configured for a single-pulse 11B experiment with no decoupling
and reasonable default values for o1p and sw.

Dear Topspin Users,
New Bruker user with no Topspin experience.
I tried to run 11B observed experiment (Bruker engineer has done 11B nucleus
setup during spectrometer installation). In order to do that I loaded C13CPD
parameters and changed NUC1 to 11B. When I tried to turn off proton decoupling
I set PLW2, PLW12, and PLW13 powers to 0 W. Both experiments appeared to work
OK and I only got an error message when processing (I guess something related
to spectrum referencing - solvent table?).
My question: is this a "kosher" way of running such experiment in Topspin?
Maybe there is a much easier method for setting it up?
