Greetings. Sorry to suggest something pedestrian and a shot in the
dark, but since you seem to be backing up from a /mnt volume, is there
something falling through the cracks there ? For instance, is
/mnt/ulnmr700 an automount volume ? The rsync job may not mount the
volume before doing the sync-ing.
You mentioned CentOS 6 and it was not the most loved version of the
distro, before we all moved to CentOS 7. Did it completely stopped
working once you upgraded to CentOS 6 ?
As an additional 2c, for what it's worth, you can mount the 'ulnmr700'
statically using the 'mount' command on a testing mount point such as
/root/tmpdrv and then you can try the cron job from there. Of course,
incorrect file permissions can also throw a wrench into the operation. Can
you grep for 'rsync' in the system log file /var/log/messages ? rsync
does leave useful information if it fails.
