Re: [AMMRL] Experience with Quad Systems

Dear All,

At IST Austria quite recently we were willing to buy a complete Quad NMR system,
something similar that Markus wants to buy, a 400 MHz NMR with a broadband
double-resonance probe and large capacity sample exchanger. We had several
discussions with them and their offer was quite convincing both pricewise and
quality-wise. For a while it seemed that we will be their demo site displaying
the first complete Quad NMR system.

We had to buy the spectrometer through a tender procedure, and Quad chickened
out at this point saying they don’t have all the certificates that EU
regulations require.

Now we are buying a Bruker NMR.

If you are interested I can tell a few more details what they had in their
offer.

Best wishes,

Petra

I have no experience with them, nor had I even ever heard of them, but I am
happy to learn of another alternative vendor, and I would love to
learn of any responses you get. Perhaps a summary of responses sent to the
group is in order?

Dear all,

has anyone purchased an NMR spectrometer of Quad Systems (https://quadsystems.tech/)
and what is the experience? We are intersted in a standard 400 MHz system (i.e. 2 channels,
room temperature Braodband probe, sample changer).

Can anyone comment on the quality of the following components in comparison=
to a new Bruker System:
a) Console
b) Probes
c) Sample Changer
d) Software
e) Software for automation
f) use of Bruker pulse programs

For those who wish to answer: please let me know if I should keep your answer
confidential.

Best wishes

Markus
