Hello AMMRL, we are due to replace the acquisition and processing computers for our AvIII system running TS 3.2 in Windows. When we did this 4 years ago, Bruker provided guidance on what capabilities were needed (graphics card, etc.) as well as specific make/model recommendations.
I have asked Bruker for guidance again this time because computer systems change rapidly; however, I have heard nothing back.
1. Does anyone have suggestions for what current processor/graphics/SSD etc. capabilities are suitable for either a) acquisition machine or b) processing machine?
2. Does anyone have suggestions on how to accomplish the necessary firmware etc. updates that will be needed, or know of anyone who can provide those services at a fee? I am not technologically savvy and have a full time teaching appointment in addition to my facility maintenance role. We can no longer afford a Bruker service contract so I'm on my own for this one.
