Dear Bill,
Generally speaking, going from Windows to Linux is not a problem. What's required for such an update depends on the configuration of the NMR spectrometer we're talking about. The release letters, available here
https://www.bruker.com/service/information-communication/user-manuals/nmr/general.html
provide information about the required EC levels of components and suitability of the TopSpin version and PC Operating System for the spectrometer model. If there are any questions, please contact one of our helpdesks for further information.
Best wishes, Mike

Betreff: AMMRL: Upgrading a Bruker Avance from XP to Centos
Colleagues:
The new instrument manager for the Chemistry dept.. is interested in
upgrading from XP to a Centos system. Besides getting the appropriate
TopSpin software, are there any other issues of which he needs to be
aware? Has anyone done this type of upgrade inhouse? Any suggestion
will be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Bill Jarrett
