Dear all,

While preparing for a campus workshop I started to think about the cost of liquid Helium and the recent development on bench-top NMR using non-cryogenic magnets and so on. I realized that the Far Side cartoon (see below) that has been posted on our door for as long as I remember (20-30 years) has become more meaningful. Do any of you know when this was published? Perhaps it was a souvenir from one of the earliest ENCs?
