Does anyone out there have a spare manostat that they might be willing to
loan us for a short time? We would of course pay for shipping, etc.
All signs are that our AS600 magnet has vibrations coming from inside the He
can - they go away if we vent the magnet, and we expect that installing a
manostat will fix the problem. However, those controlling the purse strings
are loathe to spend >$5k unless we're sure of the solution. Oxford doesn't
have a loaner and won't allow returns, Varian wants twice what Oxford
charges for the same part, and Bruker unsurprisingly won't sell us a
manostat for a Varian system.
