Hi all:
I am forwarding the following for our facility engineer:
We have a Unity 500 console upgraded in 1998 with an Inova 23 channel
shim system. We are observing 60 Hz noise sidebands at 2-3% levels for
all peaks when locked, but they disappear when unlocked. If any of you
have experienced similar problems in the past, we'd appreciate hearing
about your experiences and fixes.
It would also be very helpful to find out the following for our Unity
500 console. It was upgraded from a VXR way back when (in 1989), and
our documentation does not match the boards (which we think might be the
original VXR boards) currently in use in the console:
1. The acceptable voltage level (peak-peak) for the 6.25 MHz IF input
into the lock receiver board.
2. The acceptable voltage level (peak to peak) for the 0 and 90 degree
outputs on connector J2405. (At a given lock level)
3. The approximate wave form for the 0 and 90 outputs.
Thanks,
Bob
