We have successfully used Samsung 171s, Cornea MP704, and Planar
PL170 on our systems. One of the Samsungs we had objected to the
Ultra 5 (some wavy lines at the top of the screen) but worked fine
on our Blade 100. Another Samsung of the same model had no problem
with another U5. The Cornea seems to come up on reboot sometimes
with very large font, but goes back to normal when X starts (except
for once when even the X came up 800x600). This didn't always
happen; I could probably fix it with some Sun eeprom settings to
fix the resolution (I did so for a Samsung attached to Sparcstation
20), but I haven't worried enough about it to delve into it.

I'm sorry to hear the Dells don't work reliably; I've been tempted
on them. (Where do you get them for $300?)

The only significant theft of equipment we've had in the lab was one
of the Samsungs; after that we anchored all of the LCDs with a
security cable.
