Varian Nanoprobe

Dear AMMRL Members,

We have seen a noticeable loss of sample after spinning for 16 hours in the Varian gHX Nanoprobe. The plugs seem reasonably tight, but apparantly the sealing is not good. Varian's test sample tubes (chloroform in acetone, 0.1% ethylbenzene,..) are sealed with epoxy, so they do not suffer from this problem. I'd hate to take that approach as the nanotubes are several hundred dollars each. Has anyone else seen this?

Regards,

Andrew
