Anyone who would put a sprinkler system in an NMR lab should have their
head examined. That said, we just had our entire building sprinkled
last year, and try as I might I was unable to prevent the installation
in the NMR labs. There are now sprinkler heads right over all of the
NMR consoles. I don't sleep as well as I used to, but there was nothing
I could do about it here. So far, no accidents.

If your administration is more likely to listen to reason, I would try
to talk them out of it...but don't hold your breath 8-(
