With respect to the table recently posted containing inches vs litres of
helium, users should be aware that variations do exist. Yesterday I
received my latest shipment of helium in a Cryofab CMSH-100 dewar; out of
curiosity I compared the table on it to the published one, and found it
differed. Perhaps there is some variation depending on the age of the
dewar and/or its place of manufacture. At any rate, if you don't have an
attached table, the depth would seem to be only an approximate guide to the
contents. Here is the table from the dewar I received:
