Hi Jjim,

  1.
To remove the gradient cable, just turn the connector counterclockwise (I think)
  2.
Flush gas tube usually you need to push the outer ring of the connector and
then pull the hose
  3.
Just check if you can just cut off the broken part and use the same hose you
already have installed. If not, just replace the hose but a similar one.
  4.
Since your probe has an ATM, there will be 3 screws at the ATM block that you
need to unscrew with that key that is attached to the probe.

Hope I helped in some way.

Best regards,

Hi NMRers,

Showing my lack of knowledge here, but I’m trying to remove our Bruker TX=
I probe and I have 4 questions.

  1. How do I remove the gradient connection (the cable to the left of the
fuzzy photo)?
  2. How do I remove the flush gas tube (the white tube to the back right)?
  3. How do I replace the flush gas tube (it’s fragile and I partially
snapped it – although I can probably fix well enough with parafilm)?
  4. How is the probe held in place? In the past it was brass rods with
knurls, but I think it’s a clip now?)

Next job is to see if I can find a manual somewhere!

I’m trying to see if I can get our ATM unit to respond while the probe
is outside the magnetic field. If not responding, I’ll send the probe
back for repairs

Thanks

Jim
