Hi John:
When I found the problem, I used Auto test sample to calibrate z0. It didn’t
help. I will try one more time to see.
Thanks,
Nelson

Hi Nelson,
Another thought; if this system is locking normally manually, if when using
find Z0 it fails, you may have a corrupted lk data set in the probe file.
Use the Autotest sample to re-calibrate the lock Z0 reference in the probe
file.

Hi Nelson,
If the two shim boxes were identical part numbers, you could. The only difference
is the number of driver boards in the box....28 vs 40 channels. I think there is
1 or 2 additional boards to drive the other 12 shims. You would only have to
remove the additional boards, and change the config parameters.
The Z0/Z1 boards are the same. You just have to be sure of the polarity switch
on the board...it should be in the same position..

Hi John:
Is it possible I replace the Z0/Z1 board? We have one spare INOVA 500 console.
Do you think if I could use Z0/Z1 board in INOVA 500 for INOVA 400?
INOVA 400 has 28 shims, while INOVA 500 has 40 shims. I assume I could not i
use INOVA 500 shim unit to replace INOVA 400 shim unit, right?
Thanks,
Nelson

Hi Nelson,
Given that the freq. will change,( actually, you are changing magnetic field
strength when moving the Z0, but you see it as a resonance shift), and it i
won't lock, the lock loop isn't being closed,ie, the feedback loop isn't
just compensating the natural field drift anymore...it's throwing an offset
in the loop, forcing the resonance away. If you checked the lock phase,
this sounds like the Z0/Z1 board is defective.

Hi John:
As far as I knew, we didn’t have a power outage over the weekend.
I could lock manually but the lock signal was not stable and kept changing.
Thanks,
Nelson

Hi All,
I would first ask whether you experienced a power outage? If so, or in any
event, open the lock screen gui and check to be sure the lock phase is adjusted
correctly. ..if the phase is off, it may not reliably find the Z0. Can you
lock it manually in the gui, or when you get the lock on resonance, and
check the lock box, it shifts out, you most likely have issues to be determined,
given no other circumstances.
