A good place to find used NMR probes is ebay. I got a few good deals from there.
They usually cost a few hundred dollars each. For example, the following one

Thanks Anna and Salk Institute so much for the kind donation, which resolved
our instrument shortage (we usually have 8 spectrometers, both varian and
Bruker, it became so struggling after the decommission of two 300M and the
down of really old 500M oxford magnet) for 150+ users. With the professional
helps of Dr Qiu from AIT, the nice Oxford 500M AS magnet was safely relocated
to Tallahassee and successfully installed in FSU. I have been closely watching
the field drift and cryogen boiling off, all looks pretty good, the 500M will
be released to our routine users from November.
Due to the limited budget, I have to upgrade another old 400M Inova system with
a donated retired Bruker console (so blessed, the NMR community is so helpful).
Comparing with the purchase of a new instrument, there are too many documents
and departments that need to be handled and coordinated for the acceptance of
a donation. Thanks god, it is done. If anyone want to get any reference from us,
you are welcome to contact me.
Now, we badly need both 400M and 500M Bruker (BBO, BBI) probes, it is so
expensive and takes too long to order an old console compatible probe. If
any groups have spare used Bruker 400M and 500M probes, even not working
probes (I'll repair it anyway), we can either buy or exchange with the extra
probes we have.
