Yes, this is a common problem for me. One of the worst was after 2 reboots
and still failing to communicate, I called George Gray and he talked me
through the correct way (console, diff box, perpherals, Sun) to bring the
system up. It failed! The 4th time it came up.
Once the comm. is good, then the instrument is solid for weeks at
a time. If any logic is wrong in the chain from the host to 'guts' of the
console communication may fail. Most of the time the 'red' button will
reset the console, but not always.
