Sorry if this reply is a bit late. Life has been hectic the past few weeks.
When it was first released, I tried 4.3 on our spectrometer (Avance Neo,
RHEL 7) and as a data station (both on RHEL 8 and on Mac OS 12.7). I was
able to operate the spectrometer just fine (granted, the testing was quite
limited). The primary problem that caused me to roll back was that it doesn't
seem to be able to handle symlinks at all (!!).
All of our user data is archived to a network drive and ~/networkdata is
symlinked to the obnoxiously long location on the mounted network drive.
TopSpin would simply not show anything existing within the folder if you
descended into a symlink. On the Mac version, the data server would never
get past the initial synchronize step on any folder that contained a symlink.
Avoiding symlinks is simply not an option with how I have things setup (both
on the user computers and my personal computer).
I've had filing a bug report on my to do list for a while now, but I simply
haven't had the time with my teaching schedule and all the helium recovery
stuff I'm dealing with on top of the NMR lab...

> Subject: [AMMRL] Bruker Topspin 4.2 vs 4.3
I have seen a lot of comments from users who have said they 'rolled back' to
4.2 after numerous issues with 4.3.
I would appreciate it if you could elaborate on what those issues are specifically.
Bruker would like the feedback as they are releasing a new version soon and want
to make sure those issues are taken care of.
One individual stated that they believed there to be more issues with 4.2 than
4.3 so they are surprised by this feedback.
