A big thanks to John Hahn with Caz Enterprises as well as Eugenio Alvarado
and Brian Antalek who all asked me to look more closely at the FID and
correctly pinpointed the issue to the Synth Board. Specifically, this is
an early sign of a failing Synthesizer and is a phase stability issue. Not
easy to see at this stage by looking directly at the Synth board output.
Thankfully Agilent still has these refurb boards in stock.
If anyone knows how to repair these, that would be great as I seem to
replace these every 3-4 years.
