Dear spinlanders,
first of all I have to apologize to be very late to summarize the answers and my own experience to move a running TopSpin installation
to a new computer. A very short summary here: using nmrbackup and nmrrestore in principle everything is fine.
The main drawback was the necessity to recalculate the prosol table.
The reason to be that late was my focus on a new collection of nmr exercises. It was really challenging to develop some tools
to modify PowerPoint files using python scripts.
Most of the exercises are here
https://www.nmr.tips
This page starts in german language, but you can switch to english immediately (or you start with
https://www.nmr.tips/indexe.html).
Some more challenging exercises are part of Nils Schloers (university of Cologne) "Problem of the months" project.
Their home page is here
https://nmrshiftdb2.sourceforge.io/potm/archive.html
but a summary with the ability to download everything as PowerPoint files is also available here:
https://www.nmr.tips/POTM/2020/Menue/indexe.html
Of course, everything is under construction (probably until the end of my life ...), but I have the feeling, there is enough
finalized content available meanwhile. Changes will become published nearly daily.
Feel free to use everything without any permission. If the raw data came from other place (University of Frankfurt, University
of Wisconsin-Madison), I already asked for the permission to use the raw data.
Of course, I am happy for any kind of feedback.
I hope, it's useful and please forgive me to be very late concerning the issue mentioned above.
Best regards
Rainer
