AMMRL: autosampler grip failure

Hello, we have a BACS-60 (no longer supported by Bruker but generally in good condition) that is starting to drop/break tubes atop the magnet. It appears to be picking them up misaligned in pincer from carousel.

BACS is in good alignment overall (confirmed with test-driving in rstest) so I'm tentatively diagnosing this as a loss of traction on pincer fingers. The traction surface/coating on several fingers is visibly degraded.

Any suggestions for what material I might use to safely bootstrap a new traction coating on pincer fingers?

Thanks in advance for any ideas.

Heather
