laser printer

BlankQuick question:

I have an old Gemini 2000 running VNMR 5.3B (Solaris 2.5.1). We have
been using an even older HP Laserjet II to print and plot, which is now
dying. I would like to use a new HP LaserJet 2200, or perhaps a slightly
older HP LaserJet 4P, but neither of them seem to work using the
parallel port, LaserJet_300 device. I don't want to upgrade the software
and the instrument is not connected to the network. Has anyone with this
version of VNMR
installed one of these printers? Any recommendations for a printer that
does work? B&W is just fine.
