Reminder...No Encoded-Binary Attachments in AMMRL E-Mail

Dear All:

I just wanted to remind everyone that since the last e-mail virus
incident, the Steering Committee (under my recommendation) decided to
stop forwarding any messages containing binary attachments (including
those that seem harmless, like .pdf files and .Vcard attachments). If
you send a message containing an encoded attachment it will be forwarded
to /dev/null.

I continue to forward html-encoded files, and in-line text attachments;
however, if someone comes up with a way to hide damaging code (i.e.
destructive JAVA code) in these I might have to even re-think this.

I hope everyone understands that an accidental virus-containing message
can wreak havoc when the messages go to over 700 people worldwide.

Best regards,

-Rich Shoemaker
