I would like to thank everyone who replied to my request for information
regarding sample changers and Varian systems. The general consensus was
that the ASM-100 and SMS-50/100 were very reliable systems that integrated
well with the automation software in VNMR. There was more reserved praise
for the 9-sample carousel changer where several labs report very good
reliability as long as the air source is stable.

One remaining question I have regards the ASM-100 sample changer. I have a
couple of options to acquire a used one, However, there is no option for its
use with a Mercury console in setting up VNMR 6.1C. The only software
options include the SMS changers and the carousel system. Has anyone tried
using a ASM-100 on a Mercury system running VNMR 6.1C?

Thanks again to all,

Perry.
