advise on moving magnet

Dear colleagues:

I would like to ask for advise on moving a 4.7 T magnet (R2D2-
type) into an adjacent building. We have received mixed signals.
The manufacturer advises against moving any "live" supercon
magnet. One anonymous service person says it can be done for this
magnet if it is done carefully. The downtime and cost associated
with re-energizing the magnet should figure into this decision.
Any opinions out there? I will post the survey including the more
humorous, less serious answers.
