We are in the process of obtaining a console replacement for our VXR-500.
One vendor has included in the package price seal replacments for the
Oxford 500/51. Ours is 11 years old, but I have not noticed increased
helium consumption over the past 9 years I've been here. I use 60 L every
ninety days for both our 500/51 and 300/89 and neither seems to be aging.

Would you warm up a magnet like that, figuring seal replacements are
probably going to be needed soon? Or would you leave well enough alone and
wait until it's needed?
