List of VnmrJ Passwords

In addition to DOSY and CRAFT, there are several other separately licensed
software packages distributed with VnmrJ 4.2. These required a password in
order to install them. We cannot provide the passwords for the two Imaging
packages, since they include patented software for which royalties must be
paid. Most imaging system sales already included these packages. However,
Agilent can provide the passwords for the remaining packages. They are:
Package Password
Backprojection bd-iee
Biosolidspack dr-lny
DOSY_for_VnmrJ gm-ppb (DOSY password is hl-bcp for VnmrJ 2.3 and earlier.)
VAST vn-otf
LC-NMR mm-zzj
STARS do-wat
CRAFT kk-was
Backprojection is a backprojection-reconstruction algorithm for image
reconstruction. There appears to be very little documentation, although the
package includes several macros that may help one understand its usage.
There is a document for Biosolidspack on Spinsights.
DOSY and CRAFT are discussed in earlier posts. See the previous DOSY post
for details for installing it on systems running VnmrJ 2.3 and earlier.
VAST is the software for flow-NMR using the Gilson sample handling system.
LC-NMR is the software for flow-NMR with a LC system.
STARS is a solids simulation package and there is a user guide on Spinsights.
Most of these packages will only be useful to people who are already using
them and want to continue using them after upgrading to VnmrJ 4.2.
To install any of these packages from VnmrJ 4.2, enter the vnmrjOptions
command and enter the appropriate key. You must do this as the VnmrJ admin
account (generally vnmr1). Otherwise, the vnmrjOptions command will only
show you what is currently installed. You should install these packages
before installing the latest "100-series" patch. If you have already
installed the latest patch, currently the "105" patch, first use
patchuninstall to remove it. Then use vnmrjOptions to install the software
packages. Finally, use patchinstall to install or re-install the latest
"100-series" patch.
