Hi all,

This morning we took delivery of a 100 L liquid helium dewar from Praxair that had a large amount of solid on top of the liquid helium. When I went to thump the dewar I couldn't get past the solid blockage to the helium. I have no idea what the solid is or how it got there. We have sent the dewar back and are waiting on the replacement.
My question for everyone is; Have you ever received a dewar of liquid helium that had an unknown solid on top of the helium?

Thanks,
